  1. Excellent Quality Shredder

    We just bought ours through Costco. It is a very good looking, low profile machine. The included full cover increases the low profile appearance. It is quite surprising how quiet this shredder actually is. You can hold a conversation with someone while you are shredding and not even have to shout. It is a tad disappointing that you must empty envelopes, such as junk mail, as it warns not to shred adhesives. It is also disappointing that you must also remove staples before shredding. But at the same time, all shredders warn about adhesives. And for the price paid, it is a good strong, quiet machine that does a great job shredding paper. If you want to do staples, you'll have to spend a bit more. This machine is high quality though.

  2. Great Shredder, Lousy shipping box

    Just got this shredder and love it. Quiet and mobile and the large trash bin helps when doing lots of shredding. And we really appreciate its carbon neutral status.

    FYI, the box it's shipped in is very thin and insufficient. The first shredder we received had been crushed in shipment, rattled with shattered plastic parts, and was promptly returned. The second one had a fist-sized hole punched through it but the machine was undamaged, so it's here and working fine.

    Thanks to the previous reviewer for explaining the mysterious small bin. We do recommend this shredder but check it carefully when you get it for damage.

    I have used Staples branded shredders for my personal user for a long time. I just got this and it is very quiet and and convenient with the pullout bin.

    For those who get this, the white plastic bin that comes with it is to be attached to the pullout bin as a separate collector for the shredded CDs. It is not specified in the manual and make you wonder why the same does not extend to credit card stuff.

    I just love this shredder. It is heavy duty and does shred 10 sheets at a time. It is fairly quiet too! I love that it is on wheels to easily move around. It has a large capacity and I like the window so you can actually see when it is getting full. Great to have the ability to shred credit cards and CDs as well.
